The first issue of the Dictionary contains the vocabulary and phraseology of the Mogilev-Smolensk border region collected by teachers of the Russian Language Department and students of the Philological Faculty of Mogilev State University from the 1980s to the present. The issue includes 1295 entries for letters A and B.

The dictionary is intended for university lecturers, dialectologists, students, undergraduates and graduate students, teachers of literature, as well as for a wide range of readers who are interested in colloquial speech of the Mogilev-Smolensk borderland residents.
