Mr. Nazarkuly Shakulyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus made a working visit on October 26 to Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University. The purpose of the visit was to meet with Turkmen students who have been studying at our university, as well as at the Mogilev State University of Food. Before talking with fellow citizens, Mr. Ambassador had a meeting with the administration of our university. Both sides stressed the high level of cooperation between the university and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus. “The Embassy supports and appreciates the long-standing friendly relations with the Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University” the Ambassador said.
Speaking to the students from among the citizens of Turkmenistan, Mr. Nazarkuly Shakulyev drew their attention to the need for accurate implementation of the university's routine, as well as the rules for staying and living standards in the Republic of Belarus. Separately, Mr. Ambassador focused on the social and economic development of Turkmenistan. In particular, he recalled that modern Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road. “By building new highways and railways, sea ports and bridges, our Fatherland in the third millennium revives the Great Silk Road again,” he quoted the words of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Mr. Ambassador paid much attention to the rich culture of the Turkmen people and its ancient history. Mr. Nazarkuly Shakulyev completed his speech with his own poems. Also during his stay at the university, Mr. Ambassador visited the Hall of Fame of the Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University. Mr. Nazarkuly Shakulyev presented the Belarusian translation of the book of Makhtumkuli, a famous 18th-century Turkmen poet, to the university as a gift.
