The Educational seminar “Inclusive creative practices. The experience of cooperation between the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus and the Swedish organization ‘ShareMusic & Performing Arts’” was held on October 25 at the Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University. The Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Childhood was the organizer. According to the director and artistic director of “ShareMusic & Performing Arts”, Sofia Anderson, the seminar was organized within the framework of the international project “InArtLab”, whose task is to share knowledge in the field of inclusive creativity.
The University guests stressed the importance of being in the “space of art” for ordinary people and people with disabilities. The guests from Sweden shared their experience and knowledge in the field of inclusive education. Art therapy, as they stressed, is one of the most accessible and effective modern methods of socializing people with disabilities. With the help of certain techniques, specialists are able to develop figurative, metaphorical thinking, which significantly expands the framework of the knowable world. The project participants are young people who have been able to realize their creative potential, despite the known difficulties in movement, restrictions on access to the centers of modern art (museums, galleries, theaters, etc.). The organizers of the project created a 7-minute film for the audio guide in the Belynichsky-Birulya museum. The story of the Belarusian-Swedish project was shot on the channel “Belarus 4”. (The organizers of the seminar were presented by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Childhood Elena Alexandrovna Basharkina).
