Every little Swede begins life with stories about Carlson. Only then, having reached the age of maturity, they discover the wonderful world of Tumas Transtromera. The name of the Swedish author is almost unknown to Belarusians. And by the way, he is the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, a great musician and poet, whose works were translated into almost all languages of the world. All but the Belarusian ... So you could say two years ago. However, today, thanks to the hard work of the team of translators (Andrei Hodonovich, Olesya Basharimova, Vladimir Orlov, Lavon Barshcheuski) and the support of the Swedish Embassy, there was the first sign — Transtremera book of poetry was translated into Belarusian. And it was the book “Under the free sky” that was presented in the MSU of A. Kuleshov.
“Transtromer is a philosophy of life, intelligent nodes to which you want to walk, carrying on your shoulders a certain life experience”, — described the work of his friend the famous Swedish director Leif Ulsan. According to him, the poetry of Nobel Prize winner is a steep transition from reality to dream. However, these transitions allow you to see the reality from an unexpected point of view. Leif Ulsan Transtromera read in the original language, and Olesya Basharimova, with Khodanovich read the translation. Swedish reflects the nature of the north, it is sharp and loud. Transtromer in the university auditorium sounded as probably sounded once ancient saga. The Belarusian language is sweet and tender.
However, the translators managed to convey to the reader the northern flavor, philosophy of understanding the world in its various manifestations. Speaker of the presentation was a talented Belarusian poet Vsevolod Steburako. He not only stirred up the students and teachers, but also managed to transform the event into a real performance. Sergey Dovgushav, a multi-instrumentalist, helped Vsevolod. For a long time the student will repeat the melody and lyrics of the Sergei's song “Talaki”. “Transtromer is the best way to bring Sweden to Belarus, — said Assistant of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Belarus Ms. Olesya Litvinovsky. — This is an author who is equally interesting to young people and to people who have seen a lot. Young people will be interested in unusual shapes. There is no iambic and horites. There are the contents, philosophy. And it'll be of interest to people with some experience”.
