On February 25 the scientific webinar “Development of the theory and practice of education in the context of modern transformations” was held at the university. The joint event was organized by the Department of Theory and Methodology of Elementary Education and the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Elementary Education of Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky.
Vice-Rector for Science and Research, Doctor of Economics, Professor Natalia Makovskaia greeted the participants and noted the relevance of the problem of personal education, as well as the importance of such events for the development of international cooperation in scientific and educational areas.
Denis Palatnikov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky, Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor, also addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
The webinar programme reflected various aspects of the problem of educating students of different ages — primary school children, teenagers, students. The subject of discussion was the theoretical foundations of modern upbringing (the report of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor S. Chumakova “Hermeneutic approach as a methodological reference for improving the quality of education of students”). The issues of formation of professional competences of students and teachers to implement the educational process in the classroom and extracurricular activities were covered by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate professor A. Nevzorova (report “Professional competences of primary education teacher in the field of educational activities”), Candidate of Philological Sciences, associate professor E. Sviridenko (report “Educational potential of methodological disciplines in the structure of professional training of primary school teacher’), Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate professor E. Izotova (report “The educational potential of methodological disciplines in the structure of professional training of primary school teacher”). G. Izotova (report “Perceptions of the pedagogical community about the programme for the development of social activity of primary school children “Orlyata of Russia”). The issues of improving certain areas of education of students were also considered by Candidate of Cultural Studies, associate professor Y. Alenkova in the report “Aesthetic education of students in the conditions of modern mass culture”) and the use of the educational potential of volunteer activities in the report of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate professor O. Belyaeva).
Exchange of experience, results of scientific research on the problem of educating students allows finding more effective and efficient approaches to its solution in modern conditions.
