Alejandro Fuentes, Doctor of Law, Senior Researcher of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (Lund, Sweden) visited Mogilev State A.Kuleshov University on October 12. The foreign guest discussed with the university head the prospects of our further cooperation with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute. “There are the broadest prospects for the fruitful, mutually beneficial cooperation,” said Dr. Fuentes. A round table “Methodology for integrating human rights in the teaching of legal subjects” was held, with the participation of the guest at the Faculty of Economics and Law, during which the actual problems of content and methods of teaching were considered, and the audience got acquainted with the system of higher education in Sweden. Students and teachers listened to two lectures that touched upon the theoretical and practical aspects of the European regional system for the protection of human rights. In addition, the participants received a valuable opportunity to improve and develop the language competence in the sphere of professional communication as lectures were read in English and assumed active communication between the lecturer and the audience.
